The giants of Easter Island
The island is inhabited by giant giant ten feet high, from a distance seem to stand and poke their heads into the pit walls.
But it turns out are not giants but statues and walls that seem to underlie it.
The island is called Easter because it was discovered on the day of festivity in the year 1722. It was a Dutch sailor named Jakob Rogeeveen who came to the island for the first time, des' as some Europeans came but when they reached the statues stood no longer seems there was a war between the tribes of the island and were no longer standing but runs.
The giant heads were carved from volcanic stone of the big question is how could carry the rocks to the place where, with some weighing nearly 30 tons?
And the funny thing is also why they have such long ears and who represented?
